WindSpinners Herbs & Miniatures
WindSpinner, whose real name is John Beckwith, is an old hippy located in the fashionable
southeast hills of Rutledge, Tennessee. Since becoming a landed immigrant in East Tennessee.
John has been involved in many things, including miniature making, drawing,
watercolor, herb growing and wood carving. His herb plants are available at Ritter Farms
and other area locations.
He has written and published a pictorial history of Grainger county and currently writes a weekly
historical column for Grainger Today.
Marie Merritt's Decorative Painting

Marie Merritt, a native of East Tennessee, has been an artist and craftsman most of her life.
Marie is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She has studied with professional
artists & teachers and draws inspiration from Gods creatures & His creation. Using her education,
experiences and talent, Marie has refined her own style through
many hours of practice and experimentation. Her main interest is in painting
still life, florals, and wildlife.

Just follow my paper snipping trail and you may find me in my "studio" at the top of the
stairs in this old house, (although I have moved down stairs, I just hate to change that
first sentence). I am doubtlessly gazing dreamily out the window at the beautiful, lush
and colorful green of the Tennessee hillside. Visions of bouncing bunnies, be speckled cows,
cantankerous cats and hearty country-folk weave through my imagination.
